I believe this was from a kayak/hammock camping trip to the San Juans in May a few years back (maybe April ). I stopped off at a friend’s house in Seattle.

These are the times I run the ridgeline under the tarp. Once the precipitation ceases to be white, the line goes over.

Thank you for the offer/suggestion of the yellow tarp for the Ducks. My “school” was actually WSU; Grey and Crimson. That would would make a pretty good tarp/hammock combo too. But I was too busy working in college to pay attention to any sports.

In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

It arrived in all its glory!

Trumpets played, birds sang, the sky brightened, and time just seemed to slow down. Mmmmm. Mmmmmmm.

Pictures will coming - waiting for some sunshine.

I tried it out in my backyard hammock lab. Some initial observations

    - Purple Haze is Da BOMB. This is to me the perfect purple - dark, hints of brown, but purple (but not too purple) in the light. Great color.

    - Dream Hammock does an incredible job! Such high quality and so well done. I cant find a single flaw, lose thread, nothing.

    - The Darien is a super super comfy hammock. Right from the start, strung it up and laid down - instantly sweet, no scooting around. I can’t wait to sleep in it. Also my first time using tie-outs. Putting those on, it’s HUGE in there. I went with the 66” wide version which is about perfect.

    - I really like MTN 1.2. Honestly, this was my biggest concern on the hammock, but I am totally glad that I went with it. It feels great, doesn’t feel plasticky as I had read and also has a bit of grip which I like. It doesn’t feel stretchy, but it has enough flex (I guess) that it fits like a glove. Also feels good lying on my side. I need to give it some more time, but this could be my new favorite fabric. Also, I was shocked that you can actually see through it! Adds a whole new dimension to hanging, I feel like I am floating. It makes it feel even bigger.

    Thats it so far.

This is my first asym hammock, I was a bit surprised that it works well in a variety of positions. It’s super easy to plop down and hit a perfect lay with my head at either end. I like this actually since I like to sleep with my head opposite my entry side, but like to lounge with the bugnet open and my head out on that edge depending on whatever the view offers. So, some flexibility there.

I always like going SOBO; somehow, it feels like going downhill.

...and as it harm none, do what ye will.

Glad you like it! That is a very cool color.

I wonder what color a Band Of Gypsies hammock would be?
