Anxiously Awaiting my first cottage maker hammock

    Folks,

Share in my hopeful anxiety as I wonder will it show up early? could it possibly be late? Will it get here in time for my trip this weekend?

I’ve been hanging in my OneWind hammock for months and decided I’m hooked and better see what all the cottage maker fuss is all about.

I configured exactly what I wanted at Dream Hammocks and then saw the custom build time and didn’t pull the trigger. 2 days later I went back to dream a bit more and perhaps to commit the order and figured why not check their Ready To Ship hammocks? Sure enough, the same hammock right there! Wide, the same color, same options in Mtn 1.2 and all! I’m calling it fate! . Or so I told my wife.

I’m not a patient man - this waiting is good for me!

I present Purple Haze - always liked Hendrix!

Sometimes the wanting is better than the getting, although I do not think that will be the case for you. Enjoy.

That is a sweet hammock, I'm a little jealous that you have some new gear on the way. Enjoy.

Hooked yourself up good with that action. The mtn fabric is awesome.

What kind of cottage did you buy? Or was that a cottage vendor hammock maker?

While rolling thru some apropo classics that I haven't listened to in years, my phone rumbles with a shipping update as this hammock masterpiece takes it maiden journey from the Great State of Ohio, across America's heartland, to its final destination over the Cascades to the shores of the Pacific Northwest.

It's looking like a Saturday evening arrival, but a guy can dream!

I see you’re from Seattle. What color RAIN tarp are you using

Note to readers: Oregon and Washington sort of have a friendly relationship, both identifying with PNW. In Bend we have a touted 300 days of sun a year. In Seattle I think it’s 300 days of rain.

Your purple hammock will be a bright spot and bring envious smiles among the sea of brown/olive green. At MTN 1.2 - I imagine it’s way light, so be gentle.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

    Love the Bend area!

Also, everyone just stay out of Seattle! .

It rains all the time here, you’ll be continually wet, close to Canada with very cold winters, moss grows on everything including our cars, no jobs, small downtown, seasonal affective disorder, etc. Nothing to see here. All that beautiful weather you see in the summer when you visit is a total scam - we get 30 days of sun, stay away and save yourself!

Looking forward to the purple. Actually, I am trying to get my wife to hit the trail with me - I thought purple might tempt her, but I love it as well.

On the weather, seriously, I have never lived anywhere in the US that has more perfect weather days. Everywhere else its too hot, too cold, too dry, too buggy, etc. I call it they Goldilocks climate!

On the tarp - maybe yellow? it would be great for tail-gateing at Husky games.
If you got a green hammock (who doesn’t?) you could borrow it for Ducks games!

You can't go wrong with purple. It is the best color, as I'm sure we can all agree . I know it's my favorite. Plus it isn't real which makes it even cooler.

    Enjoy your new hammock!
