Without giving TMI on the internet let’s just say that what prompted my post was probably related to a different issue that prompted a medical work up that was negative for all of the “bad” things that can happen when you’re a little older in life. All is good.

But you have a good point about immobility and I think I’ve tended to lie in one position in the hammock rather than moving around like I normally would in bed.

Maybe try some vitamin E in addition to good hydration and electrolytes.

I've never had cramping issues but I used to hear about them with some cyclists, and I remember this helped them.

Cramping probably an imbalance of, hydration, salt, and electrolytes. And possibly made worse by, CRP Calf Ridge Pressure, knee hyperextension, and foot scrunch (foot closest to edge of hammock turned inward at ankle)
A 12x6 hammock might help combat both CRP and foot scrunch. And a small pillow or folded sweatshirt placed under-behind your knees can help alleviate knee hyperextension.
Sometimes I guess wrong...there are no guarantees!
I hope you reach hammock nirvana
