    Cumulus Hammocks

So I was digging around their website and saw that they have two hammocks called the jarrah and the karri. Tried searching google and here for more information but I couldn’t find anything on them. The two questions I have are the dimensions of these hammocks and how the Pertex Quantum feels. I’ve only seen Pertex Quantum for quilt and sleeping bag shells so curious if anyone has tried this thicker version.

I emailed Cumulus already for the dimensions of the hammock. I’m hoping it’s 11 feet in length with a width of at least 58 inches. Maybe they’re willing to increase these dimensions if the fabric roll allows. Definitely going to add a ridgeline if I end up getting one.

    Good luck on the Cumulus.

If you get tired of guessing dimensions, quality and such, you can try any of our HF Cottage vendors. All that's well explained up front.

Definitely agree with you on that. Love my warbonnet and dream hammocks. I don’t understand how they don’t include dimensions of their hammocks or tarps. Super interested in the fabric they use though.

If you price out a freebird from dream hammock with similar equipment and specs, it come out to about the same price. More so just interested in the fabric and how it performs.

Their hammock is 10feet. The pertex fabric is very nice to touch, soft, awesome for quilts and sleeping bags. But I did not like it so much for the hammock. Not so comfortable.

You have hexon or dreamtex out there, which are much better fabrics for the hammock. Dont waste your money and time.

That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. Got a message back from them and they said they are unable to modify the hammock length or their ultralight tarp. Both are too short for what I would like. Hope they continue to grow and improve their hammock line.

I'd definitely be suspicious of someone who doesn't clearly list length and width up front.

Cumulus have updated their website recently - pretty sure that the dimensions were on the old version because I noticed them and discounted them because they were the same length as the Exped hammock I'd already got which is too short for me. Most likely the info was accidentally forgotten rather than anything else.
