    Can Someone direct me to...

Taking out several hammocks this weekend as 'guest rooms' for friends joining me at base camp...

In that selection are a couple ENO's. IIRC, one of you on our Pinhoti hike mentioned there was a way to replace the S hooks in the ends with accessory/climbing cord.

Im sure this has already been discussed here, can someone direct me to the how-to of this modification???

cuff's if you just want to replace the s hooks, just get a camp nano binner rated to 27kn and its light weight. or you can even modify it by removing the rope on the end channel and replace them with whoopie slings. at the moment i can't find the links.

pretty easy to change out a eno or similar end channel to something that will work better. First step is to get rid of the cord on the ends, get a knife or sharp scissors and hack away at the stuff rope if you can't untie the knot. Then with a loop (aka chain link) of something like amsteel or similar line that dose not stretch follow these steps.

Same precess if you wanted to attach Whoopie Slings to the hammock.

I know that, but I dont want a biner on my hammock. looking to lighten up even more and simplify.

    Cuffs:
If you have an Academy store near you, go to the boating section and get a set of the PWC cam-buckle tie downs. They cost around $10 and are easy to use. This is basically a ready made "cinch buckle" suspension system. They come with sewn in loops on both ends. This allows you to do what Paul showed in his previous post with the buckle part and the strap portion can become a tree strap. I know they work and will support the weight of a 300 lb man......I have been testing them this last week after work in my DIY 2X4 hammock stand. I hope this helps, sorry I could not find a link on the Academy website for this item I am describing.

Grizz's video series shows the steps, check the video gallery. Look under his suspension video. Hang on I'll go find it.
