    NC > HangsGiving > Nov 12-15 > Falls Lake

It's that time of year again. The Tarheel State Hangers annual Gathering. Due to COVID and Morrow Mountain doing some remodeling to their Group Camping sites. We're moving it to Falls Lake state park rolling view campground group site 4.

A couple things about this year's hangsgiving.tsh will be providing meals as follows. This year's hangsgiving is sponsored by John and Karen Rammel of TrailHeadz Hammocks and Accessories.

    Thursday supper.

    Friday Sat all meals.

Sunday breakfast will be leftovers or own your own.

Just got a dish you want to cook contact Mike Lyle or Chris Gerken or Dave Moose
We will need kitchen help and someone to wash dishes.
Breakfast will start being cooked around 7 served around 8.
Lunch cooking will start at 11 eat around 12.
Dinner cooking will start around 5 eat at 6.
We need a dedicated coffee maker that is up early in the mornings.
Coffee if there's a certain kind you want feel free to bring it brew it up.
Keep these times in mind if you plan on cooking anything. This way everyone gets enough to eat and eating doesn't consume the entire day. There'll be other things going on.
Have a skill set or highly knowledgeable on a subject pertaining to the outdoors and like to do a demo contact Mike Lyle. We will have things such as primitive fire starting demos, a rig about where we check out all the hammocks and gear.
Firewood will be provided by tsh as well. Fire tinder is always appreciated.
We still encourage attendees to bring snacks drinks or anything you'd like to share with the group. Please comment what you plan to bring or chore you're willing to help with ,demo you'd like to do. Any questions concerns etc please contact Mike Lyle.
Supplies needed cooking equipment, tables, bus pans to wash dishes in.
    More to be added later.
"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.”

Sounds like fun, are there bathrooms with showers? Is there water onsite?

We're new to the hammock world - would it be okay if my two boys and I stopped in to meet and see some equipment? We wouldn't stay the night, nor participate in meals, but I would still like to bring some stuff to help out.

Jakev, absolutely visit us hammock creatures. Say hello, ask questions and we will show y’all our rigs. Hammock campers enjoy talking about their gear. Also Hangsgiving Hang is being sponsored by a hammock manufacturer!
Say hello to Mike Lyle fearless leader of Tarheel State Hangers.
Jakev, you will get a crash course in hammockology!

Thanks! We're thinking of some rainflys, and it would be awesome to see some different setups. Look forward to meeting everyone!

Koolranch, there is no guarantee, earlier Early, Mike posted that he was told showers, bathrooms will be open. Tarheel State Hangers is having this hang. Mike Lyle, our fearless leader, and most members are on Facebook. Although Hangsgiving Hang is posted here on Hammock Forums, TSH is mostly on Facebook. They might not follow this thread as often as they do the Facebook thread.
I’ve been to more than several TSH hangs and always had a great time, seeing old and new friends

I’m not sure, but I think most of cost of Hangsgiving is covered by a fantastic raffle!
