I'm going to try to show up to this since it's only 30 minutes up the road from me. Y'all didn't do a good enough job scaring me off at Yates.

About 11 miles headed West from Rolling View there is a free MST campsite off of Redwood Rd. It's primitive camping but the MST group has provided picnic tables out there which is nice for cooking dinner, etc. No water but I have filtered straight from Falls Lake before without issue. You do have to do a little bush-whacking to get down to the lake from the campsite but it's not bad.

About 13 miles heading East from Rolling View and you'd be at Shinleaf which is a hike-in State Park campground ($20). The sites are primitive but there is a bath house that is typically open year round (not sure if COVID has changed the bath house status). Sites SL01, SL03, and SL19 are good sites for hammocks that are close to the bath house.

The trail in both directions is all in the woods except for about 1/4 on the Eastbound trail that requires you to walk on the side of Hwy 98 before dropping back into the woods.
I've done some sections of the MST around Falls Lake, and camped at Shinleaf. Great info about the campsite near Redwood! Been wondering about other campsites! I get Fri and Sat for the hang weekend. Maybe I'll alter my plans. Thanks!

Maytag, yes same as Smoked Butt Hangs.
I’m not positive exact same campsite, probably is.
Also I’m gonna read back through their posts.
Site 4 was posted on first post.
We will find it, same way Daniel Boone found his way around...ask an Indian

Maytag, I looked at Google Maps, I think that is roughly what they had.
    Use Google maps app
    Or Waze navigation app

Seems like yesterday when Hotlips&Kingsford were cooking up a storm in their camp kitchen

Planning on coming Friday. Didn't get enough time in the woods at Yates. I am not on Facebook, but think I found out anything I might need to know.

    All I can say is
Bob, you better not get my trees

My earlier Early! posts used street address 4201
Skip the 4201, I think it directs to campsites A,B,C
    rather than desired Group Camp

I heard through the grapevine, and please forgive my weak memory.
    Ten bucks
I’ll probably bring some more than that
Also they ask for as many of us as can, to bring some firewood. Er...no, check Facebook!
I’m not on Facebook, probably more information in their hang thread
Maybe PM MrPickl and or Mooseman

Roundtrip Raven, I dont know how to get or even use coordinates.
    Maybe someone here does know.
Maybe you can extrapolate coordinates, using street address I listed in my recent posts. Maybe that street address can be used in conjunction with Google Maps or some other app?

If you enter the address I listed, in either or both Google Maps or Waze navigation apps, it should get you to the location.

Do not use the number 4201 with street address, that will get you close, but to individual campsites A, B, and C and not to our Group Camp.

Maybe look for a YouTube video that shows how to enter a street address with city, state, and zip code, and then find the map coordinates.

Now you got my interest—haha further study required on Phantom’s part

Yes there are ways to convert street addresses, to coordinates.
I don’t know the details, but if that 4201 number is required to fill in complete address—ok to do that—But it will take you to individual campsite loops A, B, and C. Then all you would do is, while driving there on your last road—Baptist Road, just pass the instructed right turn into individual campsite loops A, B, and C. And continue on Baptist Road to your first available right turn, the loop for Group Camp.

If I got paid to tell lies...
It just wouldn’t be as much fun
