Jake we'd be honored to have you come out and join us. Even if it's for a lookysee. These group hangs are the absolute best way to learn about hammocks, rigs, and everything included.

Hate I can’t make this. Last year I had a great time even in the pouring rain.

Hey this is right next door to me! I'mma plan to attend, 'specially since my time available for Yates was just trimmed down . I can be a dish monkey, etc. I would like to get some hiking in, but I'm willing to help out! Looking forward to seeing some (more) setups and meeting y'all gracious people!

I’ll write you a doctors note, to be off
Prescribing two to three days rest in hammock, as needed to restore equilibrium...

You have no idea how badly I need it. Will get to rejuvenate next weekend at Hanson's Point at least.

It's a good hang to just chill out by the fire and unwind.

You're probably already familiar with this info being from the area but if you were interested in turning your hike into an overnight there are two good options along Section 10 of the MST that runs right past Rolling View.

About 11 miles headed West from Rolling View there is a free MST campsite off of Redwood Rd. It's primitive camping but the MST group has provided picnic tables out there which is nice for cooking dinner, etc. No water but I have filtered straight from Falls Lake before without issue. You do have to do a little bush-whacking to get down to the lake from the campsite but it's not bad.

About 13 miles heading East from Rolling View and you'd be at Shinleaf which is a hike-in State Park campground ($20). The sites are primitive but there is a bath house that is typically open year round (not sure if COVID has changed the bath house status). Sites SL01, SL03, and SL19 are good sites for hammocks that are close to the bath house.

The trail in both directions is all in the woods except for about 1/4 on the Eastbound trail that requires you to walk on the side of Hwy 98 before dropping back into the woods.
