    Lightweight blue polyester straps

    Folks,

I recently got a set of these and they are by far my most favorite suspension system so for both buckles and becket-type hitches.

They are light, thin, easy to work with, hold a knot well but also untie easily and go flat again. I also like not needing to carry carabiners or even buckles for that matter.

My question, what is the downside on these?

There's a lot to like about that setup. I have the same among my suspension collection. (Never thought I'd have a collection. Sheesh.)

Two things I don't care for: 1) they stretch more than I prefer, and 2) I hate the color blue (which is a long story).

Curious where you got them? I love the setup. I have dutchware 1" black 15'ers.

I bought ratchet straps from the dollar store. 400lbs load. light and strong but the strap started to shred pretty quick. I bet it was nylon actually.

I've been risking my back with a bunch of different knots. There are some very easy knots that hold remarkably well. Keep it super simple....

Myerstech sells these straps. I have a pair, and they are really nice, and well priced too. I've not noticed any real stretch from them. They are pretty light, and hold up well.

I have the same setup and agree- they work great for buckles and knots. Haven't noticed any downsides.

They weigh a tad more than other options out there, but not much.
