I picked up one of these on forum too and it is hard to get used to. I found that to get best coverage I have to overlap suspension and tarp tie outs...hang it low. Once weight of your body is in hammock it “drops” the hammock below the tarp line-so minimal rubbing etc. I watched a video of shug doing this and it made sense to me. Also don’t underestimate hanging in the best direction for avoiding wind as well as observing surroundings for best natural protections...tree canopy etc.
This tarp is a UL backpacking dream. Though I will definitely be purchasing a palace too. A taste of the good life makes me want to the big poppa.
