I walk and run about 5 days a week.. I get my hikes and trips in the Catskills and Harriman.. I have completed the West Rim , Black Forest and Allegheny Front trails with no problems. My gear is really dialed in so my pack weight will definitely be minimal, not any concern about that. My only real concern is banging the 20 planned miles on day #2.. I am not concerned about being able to do the miles.. More of a concern with day light hours. I would like to be on trail by 7 am..and make camp by about 6 - 6:15 pm. I am hoping it works out.. If. Not, no sweat .. If we need the 5th day we have it, though 4 would be ideal. I guess it all will come down to day 1. That should give us a good estimate of the trail miles and time.. To do the first 14.

The 20 miles on day 2 is not that intimidating if you're in good shape. There is a road walk for a bit but also keep in mind that alot of the trail is railroad grade so you are in and out of sections that are dream trail.

If you do it in 5,, it doesn't matter all that much because there's so many vista's to hang at and an extra day puts you at Sone's Pond on the last night which is equally as rad as the Alpine Falls!

All of the other falls along the way you should walk right past. Rhode Falls was one of my favorites... that area of trail leading up to it may have been relocated this year because that part of the mountain was turning to a mud slide. I think their goal was to bring you down and around to the bottom. The very end falls (Dutchman Falls) is great too. It's a .1 walk before you finish the very last quarter mile.

just binge-watched all 6 videos. great videos! very well done.
makes me wish I could get out and hike, but I'm recovering from a knee injury.

Just throwing this out there for you - we just lost an hour of daylite, so like tonite at @ 5:40 pm it was dark, but then the blue moon rose and you could read a newspaper.
