You had nice weather, at least until the late afternoon when the wind picked up. I was 'across the road" in Ramapo State Forest day hiking with the kids.

I missed another one
But I did get a whole night terrified in the catskills, as trees and branches were crashing all around me friday night
Crazy how it get "real" quick
Had some serious ice storms again this year
This was how thick it built up
Then the wind started

That was fun! Thanks for bringing in that neat-o fire kit and the good spirit.

And many thanks to you and Michael and especially "Hawkeye" Kathy for the combined 3 man/woman-hours scouring the hillside for my beloved UL windscreen for my alcohol stove. Not 10 seconds after I grumbled to Michael "Well, it's a goner" Kathy sings out "I've got it!" I could make another one easily enough, but it's really about the trail miles and the sentimental value.
