Once again, Sun-Mon (4/4-5) if that works for folks interested in a quick overnight or dayhike Sun. Actually thinking of a different trailhead and route other than the Silvermine options. Can do something a bit easier or more toward moderate/difficult depending upon interest.

Edit: Probably better if I get the dates right...
Weather pending, I’m interested. Looking to take the firebox nano out for a spin as well.

I am hoping to get out Saturday, got the easter family thing sunday and work/school all next week

Took a complete noob friend out last sat/sun
His pack weighed 36.4lbs at the parking lot and had steel toe work boots on he refused to let me go through his pack and throw crap back in the car
4.5 miles in he hit the wall and through in the towel
we pulled off the trail and found a spot to setup....
An easy 3 mile hike out in am
    Overall a good trip
He called me last night and is now down to 20lbs and buying hiking boots.....
    The chair he brought 5lbs

On another note I picked up an helinox chair zero
I dont like the fabric it's too slippery and puts me at a weird angle
But I took my fabric from.my rei flexlite chair and it fits perfectly on the zero frame and feels awesome and is only 29 grams heavier then the zero fabric
Man I wish I had another seat fabric in better condition tho20210327_162737.jpg20210327_173206.jpg20210326_181556.jpg

Chilling out in the hammock at the overlook right low.

Would love to finally meet youz guyz
Is that the overlook on the dunning trail?
I'm slightly lost on the bottle cap trail right now

What's everyone's thoughts on getting water from source like these pictured
Ponds or puddles on ridge tops
Beautiful area to camp here but no water sources close by
    Filtered of course.

Yep, 0.7m west of Bald Rocks on the Dunning Trail. Stream is running nicely which is 200’ away and the view is awesome.

Ha, that's a great location! I'm planning to end tomorrow's hike at Dutch Doctor, for anyone who wants to pop in with an easy 1.7mi stroll from Johnsontown Rd circle.

I think there are some nice rocks there where you can sit and catch some sun while dining.

Beautiful day for a hike. A bit warmer tomorrow but today's a dandy!
