I’ve been helping a friend get his new hammock dialed in how he likes it. Seems like a good hammock, got all the right design and measurements, but at least where we have it hanging, it takes much more dialing in to get it super comfy.
In frustration with calf ridge, I put my inflatable pillow under my knees. What a noticeable difference - it went from feeling off to pretty darn good with just that.
I then dialed it in perfectly without the pillow. Added the pillow back up - feels even better! I think it’s because it changes the angle of your back on the hammock to flatten it out a bit more since it aligns better with the butt indentation.
My hammock is much stiffer and the pillow didn’t make much of a difference. His is super stretchy and made a huge difference.
I’m wondering if you folks have tried a small pillow under the knees - I just super deflate mine.
