Know what would be great? A strap sampler pack.
If any of you independent vendors out there want to create such a thing, you could easily sell it to over-analyzing customers like you see here.

Spider 1.5 to MSH with or without whoopies is secure, super light and simple way to go. I hang in the PNW so require flexibility but still want it to be simple to use and as always, the smaller and lighter the better. I prefer a connectable link at the tree and started with sewn-in Dutchclips but did not like them with the thin dyneema straps so now use evo loops and love them. I also have recently gone to using a button knot evo loops in lieu of continuous loops at the hammock. Almost a full time hanger so love being able to easily swap hammocks and suspension components in and out. Currently experimenting with the beckett hitch but still prefer the MSH for bomber security and simplicity and it doesn't gum up the straps at the knot nearly as much.
Oh yeah, do splurge on the totally unnecessary but awesome titanium spikes... do it, you won't be sorry.

Waking up this thread to ask:
What's the difference between 2.2 and 3.3 Kevlar from a practical standpoint?
I see the 3.3 on the DW site, and the product description refers to the weight/foot of the strap describing 3.3 and 2.2 but there's no 2.2 for sale. Searching here and elsewhere, it looks like 2.2 is unobtainium.
Any performance difference between the two, such that picking 3.3 for a holiday stocking stuffer would be an unwise choice?
Thanks
I have used only 3.3 and 1.9 (from Autumn Ultralight, although not currently listed. Some report of issues, but I've not had any) and still prefer the 3.3 because of its rougher weave, which holds knots better, and its resistance to bunching/folding. The 1.9 has a bit of those tendencies, although nothing like the various UL Dyneema webbings that I have used, read about or seen in use by others.
MikekiM uses 2.2 and likes it. But it is very hard to find... maybe he can help.
However, you won't go wrong getting the 3.3 which is readily available.

Thanks. 3.3 it is, then.
