Noob! What do I need for...

Ok, I know nothing about that stuff! I'd like to have a friend (who knows what she's doing) make stuff sacks for our tarps. The ones that came with them are so small, they must have used a vacuum sealer to put the tarps in them at the factory!

What fabric would you recommend for something that will be somewhat waterproof (so a wet tarp won't make everything else it touches wet as well), yet not super heavy and easy to work with?

    Thanks in advance.

I tried making one - not much experience with that sort of thing, but KUDOS to you if you are. After jamming up my wife’s machine for the 4th time, I gave up - just wasn’t enjoying it.

I bought some from Hammock Gear that are awesome - big, but not too big, and they readily fit the hammock, Bugnet, and suspension. Pretty inexpensive as I recall as well and they work great.

Begin with 1.5-2.2 oz. silnylon. Waterproof and not so thin that it is difficult to work with.
