Great report, beautiful pics! My 2nd ever hammock camping trip was up the Hoh River towards Blue Glaciar/Mt. Olympus, this brings back memories!

Wonderful photos of a great trip. I appreciate you sharing details that help others plan a trip. I also enjoyed how you sprinkled in a bit of humor. Glad you had a good first experience!

Fantastic report! Congrats on your first trip! I hope your injuries are much improved. I haven’t been over to the Olympics in many years (I live on the dry side) but have been wanting to go again. I am more inspired than ever now!

I stumbled on to this ONP documentary that the YouTube algorithm thought I would like. Turns out it was correct. Great visuals here and it really showcases the beauty of the coast and the park in general.

    Nice report and briefing.
As to porch mode...make sure you have one end of the porch lower than the other to let the rainwater run-off.
Then you can lay there and stare at the world and Mars-like features with no worry.

I enjoyed reading your report as my wife and I are going to this spot in August to witness the Bioluminescence event on the shore. Seeing that you were able to hang your hammock set my mind at ease. I can't tent camp anymore. Thanks for the report and happy hanging!

Thanks for the great report. Haven't been to that area but every time I see something like this, I think I need to move it to the top of my list!

Thanks. That event sounds super interesting. My wife is a biologist, this may tempt her to make a trip. Thanks for the heads up, I had never heard of it

For sure make a trip out, it’s a unique experience. I still haven’t hiked the 20 miles of coast yet, amazing views and primitive campsites right on the coast
