I think that is what this is for. They came with a piece of gear saying that you can do your guylines with no knots, but when I’ve tried to use them I have to tie at least one knot (to the big loop) in order to use it, so that seems kind of to defeat the purpose. There also seems to be a limit when using this when you are using a line that is far longer that what you need - i.e. it only adjusts so far.

I am wondering if I am using this incorrectly then, but can’t find a good source to show how to actually use these. I figure they must be pretty neat - they sure look cool, but I don’t see how they help me with my guylines.
The gear also came with plastic clip locks called Line Lock 3 which work perfectly to quickly tighten, adjust the length, etc - I can’t imagine it being any easier in fact.
Sorry for asking so many questions. I’m new to all this and am still in the vacuum cleaner phase of just pulling in any information that I can around hammock camping. Ain’t life grand!
Does anyone know how I should be using these and what the’re intended purpose is?
