Connecting HG Incubator to a wide Trail Lair

Had some issues this past weekend keeping my feet warm. Hammock is a Trail Lair in Hexon Wide with UQ hooks (no tieouts) and UQ is a HG Econ Incubator 20 degree. Previously, I'd used a Trail Winder asym without issue. With the Incubator, I attached the primary suspension lines to the UQ hooks on both sides and at both ends. No problems keeping it under my head, but the quilt kept shifting and leaving my feet hanging out in the cold. Only got about an hour or two of sleep at a time.

I've used the same UQ on other hammocks, including a wide Dutchware netless, but none of them have UQ hooks.

For folks with hammocks with UQ hooks, what's the best practice for hooking up a "traditional" UQ? I sleep head left, feet right. I'm thinking that it would make sense to connect the primary suspension line only on the left side at the head end and right side on the foot end?

I have a wide hexon hammock, and the only way I could get an incubator to behave was to run the primary suspension cords to loops on the ridgeline to steepen the angle of the UQ suspension. On both ends. And ran shock cord over the ridge line to the d loops on the UQ. I got it pretty good. But not perfect. When I got it to keep me warm it was pushing me off diagonal and generally uncomfortable. Then I finally gave up and went back to my trail winder. And that was that.

Based on my experience with the warm weather TW, and the fact that all I have now are wide hammocks, that's where I'm leaning.

I actually bought another TW to stack during cold times. I just wish I could get one made with UP synthetic. I did find a good use for the HG incubator on a luxury bridge hammock so not to bummed. Good luck.

Tried it last night in the yard with the UQ suspension connected to only the two opposing UQ hooks (that is, the one by my feet and the one by my head) and it seemed to work fine. I think a few more nights will be needed to dial it in a bit more. I do have some of these which have worked great on my netless hammocks. I'm afraid that would damage the bug net when deployed, though.
