Cmon out buddy. The WI FBH is a bit different than MN. Hosting this event for 10 years has been easy as pie and won't change anytime soon. We've got a fantastic spot and great company. If you need any gear like sleds or snowshoes, just let me know. if your friends are less experienced in cold weather camping, I have an overnight winter trip for beginners coming up in Dec. I can send you details if you like.

I have snowshoes you can use. just put it on the spreadsheet under gear needs and I'll put my name next to it.
Thank you. I will have to see how my schedule works out as the wife and I are moving ( taking our time as there is no rush for us and we can not finalize the move until the internet gets hooked up ( 4 to 6 weeks est ) as I pay all my bills online. Would also be about a 1,200+ mile trip one way. I have always read the trip reports from this hang and it like everyone is having a great time.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Oh it's a great time every year and this being the big 10 year milestone in huge and might come with some great surprises. Since you're driving so far, maybe stay and extra day if you like. There is a father and son coming back for the second time from Colorado so you arn't alone in the long drive game.

This will be our second year at this hang and we wouldn't miss it for the world and we drive from Colorado so roughly 2200 miles one way. if we could only do one hang a year no question it would be this hang.

I've got a pile of Bob Dustrude Folding saws. If you want one, text me at 262-242-2757. Price is $60 for both 30 inch and 24 inch. I'll bring them along to the hang. You wont find them cheaper. I have a limited supply so let me know what size and how many asap.

Last year the trails were pretty packed down due to a snowmobile trail running along the way of our path, I used snow shoes to go in but after that never put them back on, but would recommend to have some sort of micro spikes for your boots!
Last year it got down to between -5 and -10 depending on whos thermometer you were reading
Also FYI the toilet seat is a piece of plywood so watch for splinters

I will be bringing a few bundles of wood so I will be making more then one trip (some dry stuff to help get the fire started)

Does someone have an extra under quilt or 2 to share with a new hanger. He won't have a quilt in time. Could stack a couple 3 season quilts too. Any help would be much appreciated.

I can bring my DIY 40 to stack with another one, if someone else has one, what type of hammock are they going to be in?
