Hi from Drammen, Norway. How are you?

    Hi folks,

I'm joining in from Drammen, Norway. We have some beautiful local areas to hang in, which I try to use whenever kids and wife allows for it.

I've been quite fond of hammocking, so I'm currently in the state of learning and adapting my gear to fit throughout the year here in Norway. Night temeperatures through the year are normally in the area of -25c (-13f) to 20c (68f) in my area. It's my first year hammocking, so I'm looking forward to learning more and adapting my gear in the time to come.

I've got a Hennessy Survivorman 4season hammock I'm going to put to the test. I've made a hammock stand in my back yard so that I can test out various gear and insulation through the winter to learn about how different gear handle the lower degrees. Will put up another thread for that soon that I will update along the way as winter is comming.

Velkommen! And howdy from Texas. Post pictures of that beautiful snow when it comes in, we don't get that stuff out here.

Welcome aboard! Just an FYI, the donating members forums are loaded with good information all new hammockers can use.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

Welcome! Please send pictures and trip reports when you get out. It’s great to see hammocks in woods around the world.

    Thanks for the welcome.

I'll definitly post some pictures along the way. Can start with a few from this summer just for fun.

Three different trips on two different locations. The double tarp setup was with my 7 year old daughter.

The one with the Whisky was an adult only trip.

A second welcome from TX. This time from North TX. We have an exchange student with us this year from Norway. We are learning so much about your country. He and his father actually hammock camp - they have Amok Draumr hammocks. I was disappointed to learn this after he arrived! I would definitely have had him bring one with for our adventures this year. Great pictures. I look forward to seeing more!

Welcome! Love the pictures. -13F will be the challenge. I’ve been down to 8F and had a solid buffer to go lower. Should be fun. Again, welcome.
