It Is My Hope Our Hangers and Their Families Are Safe.

I hope everyone who is doing battle with the elements are safe and managing. Hammock Forums Member's helped me so much when I had my house demolished by nature (water, two Douglas Firs and then the emergency storage I found was torched) several member's reached out to help me both with gear and my emotions... No I will be able to pay back to people going though the same thing. Hammock Forum's Members are a very unique group.

Hammockforums folks have been my extended family. It's been sad year that getting together has been so curtailed.

I guess I am reasonably. safe saying no one is Hanging in Western Oregon, much of Washington State and Western Calif. Really looks like a science fiction world from my view. We loaaned a moving van for a 5th wheel until the danger is past, reminds me of the novel "Grapes of Wrath" right now here in Happy Valley Oregon.

Really tough to hear about the loss and challenges from the fires. Good news is you are safe and sound and most things are replaceable or not essential to life, liberty, or happiness.

I attached a picture from one the three years I worked out of John Day, OR on the Malheur as the Recreation Program Manager. The picture shows the Grouse Creek fires burning right up to the edge of town. Understandably us folks were a tad bit concerned.
