Ok what I finally did is a top quilt with the fleece blanket.
My blanket was 90" by 90", I folded it in half so now its 90" long by 45" wide and then I folded the Botton to create a footbox and placed a couples of camsnaps.
I place it under my other top quilt, its perfect !

Last summer I used a fleece throw when backpacking up into the Rockies. I had only an air mattress under me. The throw was longer than I am tall, and about 4' wide. I was able to tuck it down around me and block out drafts, and slept like a baby....... Unfortunately it's not light. Thinking about buying one of those Costco down quilts and experimenting with it, perhaps cutting corners off or whatever to shape it properly.
