    ViDEO: Windy Walkin' in BWCA

Headed up the the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for a two night 22 mile promenade on the Kekekabic Trail to Disappointment Trail. Just a slight reprieve from life. High winds and on and off rain put a mood on the walk.
Stayed warm and high and dry.

I sat and watched this one last night after supper and have to say how enjoyable it made my evening. You're really whetting my appetite for the outdoors. Good job, sir.

Always good to have a Shug video to watch while I do the dishes. Thanks for making my chores more enjoyable last night!

I watched in my chameleon in my backyard while the skeeters and thunderstorms tried their tails off to get in. But they didn’t. Good video as always.

How bad was the wind to take all the trees out like that. Geez. Thought that kind of stuff was reserved for my hurricane infested part of the country.

The wife and I always get very excited when a new Shug video comes out. Informative and entertaining, can't ask for better. Thanks.

Great escape Shug. Thanks for sharing. That Texas State Fair Chili looked delish. Is my favorite. But that Gordy's burger must have been world class.

Appreciate the advice about planning contingencies at camp. A year ago I didn't and a cold front came through and flattened my hammock set up. Should have considered that and chosen a more protected location. Looks like you did that for your second night and your thought about where to go if the wind really got up is a good practice. I've been amending my trip planning and trip management outline during the last few months in lieu of actually getting out there. I'll add the end of day contingency to my list. Thanks. It's a good idea.

Nice. Something about riding out the fury in a hammock.

Really bad straight line winds in 2017 tore the place up. A few campers were killed including a young Scout and Scoutmaster.

Doctoring up the chili makes it ever-so good! I always try to find a bail-out spot as weather here comes up fast and hard at times. Thankee
