New to the hang game - All in on Warbonnet

    Hello gang,
This might be my first post on here? I know I've been reading a TON though. After all my hours (days, weeks, MONTHS haha) of research on web forums and YouTube (Thanks Shug!), I came to the conclusion that as a first time hammock guy I can't go wrong with Warbonnet. I didn't want to spend a ton of money experimenting with different brands and gear combinations, so I decided to just lump my money into a one-stop-shop. (with some Dutch mods, of course!)

Here's my first hammock, tarp, and quilt setup (ps My Wooki arrived while I was on this trip! Hell yah) - let me know if I can improve on anything. Thanks!

(thumbnail is scrunched on here for some reason, here's the link

Welcome from Fort Wayne! I did the same starting out big, mostly warbonnet stuff. Almost 8 years later I can say it was a wise decision. The stuff just works.

We just hiked the trail a little over a month ago. We were all Tenters at that point but have all switched now to hammocks. Enjoyed the informative video that you did, very interesting and fun to watch.
We did the Manistee River side first and then finished on the North country Trail. This allowed us a lot more campsites going opposite of most people, but it was a real bugger doing those long up hills and switchbacks on the NCT side. LOL.

My first was a BB XLC. I'm thinking about the newer version but I'll always have at least one WB!

Welcome! And nice video too. I'm a new convert to WB as well, after I bought an Eldorado earlier this year. Love it, and plan on more WB stuff in the near future.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. At 11:40, don't forget to add a loop around the wasp tail to prevent it from creeping toward the tree as you pull the ridgeline tight. It makes a big difference in keeping a tight ridgeline, especially as the zing-it breaks in.

You just wrote what could have been my intro to HF about 3-ish years ago. Lots of research and all-in with Warbonnet's system. Enjoy!

N.B. I sleep every night in my WBB XLC. Solved all my aches and pains from (...shudder...) sleeping in a bed.
The game is the best teacher.
