    Hi from Oslo, Norway

    Hi Gentlemen and Gentlewomen.

Been lurking without an account for a long time, and watching Shug's content since I started hanging a few years ago.
Started out with a TTTM Double, Incubator and Amazon gear and learned in that while getting used to hanging.
Just made the swap to a Blackbird with a Superfly this spring, and now understand what the hype is all about.

Still glad I started in cheap stuff (+ UQ) though, taught me a lot.

    Nice to meet you all!

Welcome! What's the average overnight temps in your area? Have you watched Shug's video camping at -40°F (which is coincidentally also -40°C)? That should make you feel right at home

Howdy to ya! I agree that it's nice to have folks on here from all over the world, and you certainly have a BEAUTIFUL slice of it in Norway! I got to meet this year's Iditarod winner, Thomas Waerner (from Norway), while helping with the race up in Alaska this year. He rolled into Nome with an absolutely gorgeous team and he and his support team were incredibly kind and cordial. Again, welcome aboard!

Cheers Mr. Shug. Was that Google Translate, or do you speak the old tongue? Appreciate the videos, taught me the all the important bits I'm glad I knew before I went out. Please keep it up!

Not to bad. In summer it's usually around 15 - 25 °C, but in winter it can bite a bit. I live in Oslo though, so down here it doesn't usually get colder than -15 °C. Still not dared to go in those temps, as I have horrible blood flow in my extremities and would need to plan well for that. I will push the boundaries with time though, but -40 °C is still above me hehe.

Cheers friend! Yeah, he seems very nice. Saw he got "stuck" in Alaska for quite a while due to CoVID-19 as well. Not the worst place to get stuck it seems. Same to you. The variation you guys have with climate around the country seems amazing. Lets you try anything from the harshest winters to deserts.

Edit: Thank you guys. I'll try to stay as active as possible!

    Welcome from sub-tropical Florida.

Average Summer night temps here around 26-29 C. But cooler in the woods.
Average Winter night temps around 4-8 C. With 1 or 2 weekends into the -2,5 to -1 C.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

    Greetings Telefonkatalogen!

You have a beautiful country there, in every way. I watch the Norway live UTube channels every day, including a certain rail road train drivers videos. Not only stunningly beautiful scenery and geology, but also your excellent transportation systems, and highways. Wish there were train services here.

Norway seems to be as gloriously green in the summer as it is snowy white in the winter.
Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.
