Big congrats on that one! You need baby camo color. Isn't that a combo of pink and blue?

    Not growing old gracefully

I decided NOT to grow old gracefully...Ima gonna fight it every step of the way! That being said, I just turned 63 this summer and love my hammock, although I don't get to use it as often as I would like. As I said somewhere else, if I had known about hammocks earlier in life, I could have cowboyed (sic) longer! I thought I ran with some strange fellers back then. That was before I joined HF. Boy, you all are really strange (in a good sorta way)! I have to have my HF fix every day or I get cranky (er). Plus, I've proven that you can teach old dogs new tricks. I can actually put up my hammock by myself! All seriousness aside, I appreciate HF and its different folks. I just wish I could hike, though. Bad feet, knees and all. However, I grew up asking why walk when you got a horse? I still like my horses, but wish I could hike some, too. Thanks to all the 'youngsters' for making me the old codger in the group. At least I'm ahead on something!

?? I haven't used them since I went hammocking. This was a great benefit by hammocking, less noise, less odors!

    Somewhat conflicted

While I do love hammock hanging, I also love sleeping in tents. And I find sleeping in tents makes it easier to deal with a pee bottle!

Sure, my hammock is cmore comfortable, but I love being under a dome of fabric. Don't know why - I guess it just pleases me. And my Big Agnes Air Core pad is the next best thing to my HH bottom.

PS: A great upgrade to a Nalgene 1 quart wide-mouth pee bottle is a Princeton Tec Pulsar LED light attached to the cap leash. Lights up the bottle and you don't need a headlamp.

Hmmm let's see Jim ... you're concerned about the lingering tent love ... but "mood lighting" your pee bottle doesn't raise concern???

Now you have a use for the attached stuff sack on some hammocks...

Just sit up, swing your legs overboard, turn on the light, check yer connections and let 'er rip!

P.S. Perkolady, I have to go back to User CP to find out what I meant to be doing on HF just now...

    Well Hawk Eye,

I am of the opinion that after camping hammocks pee bottles are the greatest advancement in technology ever developed for campers. So I have an inordinant interest in customizing both.
