I'm 56, and I feel like the hammock has helped my camping experience. The new air pads are pretty good, though the 20" wide ones are just ridiculously small -- and I'm not a big person. But the hammock is so much better, it makes me more interested in camping generally. And now I've discovered these bridge hammocks and whoo boy, are they comfy.

I’m 58, pushing 59. When I HAVE to use a tent it is a struggle getting in and out with my arthritic knees…and I don’t sleep a wink on the ground. Whereas my hammock in the woods is even more comfortable than my Tempurpedic mattress at home. I’m seriously contemplating purchasing a Tensa4 for use in my home. Hammock in the house won’t ever be as nice as a hammock in the woods…but it’d be awfully nice between camp outs!

I am 67 and hammock camping has re-invigorated both my backpacking and canoe camping. Now I sleep comfortable and well every night in my WBRR.

I find a big difference in energy and recovery in my 60s compared to my 50s.
But I care less in my 60s compared to my 50s.
The backside of life is starting to appeal to me.
Ambition decreasing. Ego diminishing. TV alluring. Money don't matter. Sitting is beauty. Garden is nirvana. Food is glory. Sleep is a party.

Right there with you brother, particularly the ambition part as it relates to work. After having worked since I was 10, having paper routes, bussing tables, mowing lawns, foundry & machine shop jobs & all the way through today, my head's just not in the game 100% of the time. I find myself being distracted more & more with my pastimes, not to mention the fact, I could drop dead tomorrow! I want to enjoy the time I have left to pursue my pastimes, be a Grandpa, take naps, fiddle around doing nothing, trying to stay in reasonable shape & binge on old Starsky & Hutch reruns.

That day is not too far off in the distant future & I'm counting the days.
