    Diamondback TQ Questions

I ordered a 20° Wooki for my Eldorado a few days ago and plan to just use my sleeping bag in it for a bit but going to want to replace that asap as it's an older synthetic and heavier/bulkier than i'd like. I will be ordering a custom Diamondback when I order and just have a few questions about the options. First, can someone please explain what the adjustable side elastics are? pics would be even better, I've looked and can't find much on them. I'm 6'3" so should I go with regular or long? And I know this last one seems to come down more to personal preference but can anyone tell me the biggest pros/cons of sewn vs zippered foot boxes please? I am looking for a dedicated 3 season quilt for upstate NY, I'm not willing or able to buy and use 2 separate ones so I want to get one that covers my needs as best as possible. Also do y'all recommend getting a TQ rated for the same temp as the bottom?

Ah, I assumed they all came with that elastic draw string and that the side elastics were a separate feature as there's a separate option for the color of the drawstring casting. If I were to opt out of that add on, could I add my own elastic to it later on with the drawstring casting if I wanted that? Just want to know what's what before I make any decisions :P

Side elastics are an option. I'd recommend them installing.

I would also recommend the side elastics. It pretty much eliminates the need to mess with any pad straps if you also use it for ground sleeping. Also I'm 6 feet and went with the regular. It just fits me up to my neck. You would probably want the long.

I live in Western NY, and also do trips throughout the state. If you're planning to use the quilt through three seasons, get the zippered foot box. That way you can open it up and use it as a blanket and kick your feet outsidem on warmer days. I've also have zipped it, but don't cinch the bottom drawer strings at times to make my feet covered, but not too warm.
