Backpack hooked onto a convenient tree branch by it's handle in dry weather.

Backpack around a trunk or limb with a short or long 8mm climbing sling extenders + small carabiner(which I use to extend my suspension when needed).

Backpack in a drybag hung from it's handle, if it's likely to rain.

I will either use a gear hammock,boot hammock(which is 1.7 oz),or hang pack on foot end with a nano 22 biner.In any event,it's my quirky preference that the shoes be out of the spider zone plus the slings keep a bottle of water handy in the night as well.

I always carry a jumbo contactors bag(for hauling elk meat in my pack, emergency poncho, ground sheet ect)
I always place my pack on it under my hammock, then I can dig through my pack while I'm sitting in my hammock. Also a great place for my boots and my crocs!
