    Storage under hammock

I am after ideas for storage while backpacking for 7 days. My backpack will be coming with me every day for day trips... and 90% of my gear will be stay at base camp under my hammock.
I though about using light weight dry sacks. One for food, one for clothing, One for everything else. But I find them annoying that you can only get to the stuff at the top. DonÂ’t really want to pull out everything just to find the 1 thing I need.
Some sort of light weight waterproof duffle bag?
Or a clothes line rigged under the hammock tarp? But that could be risky with condensation overnight or weather turning bad while I am not at camp.
    Any ideas?

In that situation, I would bring my 2T's hammock chair from Dutch along with an UL strap suspension. During the day, I would toss the chair into my pack and deploy it at lunch or other longer stops for a great lounging chair either sitting or laying back. Upon returning to basecamp, I would deploy the chair as a gear hammock next to my sleeping hammock and put all the camp gear in it for easy access. In the morning before heading out, put all the gear you're going to leave at camp in the sleeping hammock. I would hang all food and other smellables to limit access from rodents.

I'll second the SLD gear hammock. You can get it with zippers to keep out critters if you would like.

    Molly Mac gear box?
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

I have and frequently use my SLD gear hammock with zipper under the hammock at night to hold the pack, shoes, water etc.It is made of silnylon and has standard amsteel CL's.I have never tried sitting in it as a day lounger but will probably try that sometime just to see how it works.Anyone know?

FWIW,I can attest to the versatility of the rig that Clisby Clark uses as I have personally observed him blissfully lunching from his "chair" while I suffered in silence sitting on a log.......

You plan on taking the hammock down while you're out day tripping? If not, why not just put all the gear in the hammock (except the food)?

    Great ideas there.
Do the gear hammocks affect your sleep? I can see they might need some adjustments to prevent your gear from poking you while you sleep.
