    Don't know how I missed this. He was on here and active when I first joined. I never hiked with him but always looked forward to his comments. I found his posts informative and backed by experience, and I learned a lot from him.

    There's a lot of people in the comments above whom I haven't heard from in too long. Almost seems like the old days, which i miss very much.

    Just saw this thread. Did the JMT with Rain Man in 2018. He was 68 at the time...pretty amazing accomplishment. Of course, as the photo indicates, he took the occasional break, hehehe. He will be missed.

    I read an account of that trip on White Blaze(I think) and was impressed with the planning and accomplishment that went into that trip.So sorry he's gone......
