No. As I said, we only used them (EVER) for a few minutes to learn how to use them. That was it. In that limited experience, we concluded they would have worked fine, provided you practice and know what you're doing, and once on the field, you really secure the stakes/anchors well. During our practice time, we fell on our butts several times because the stakes pulled out of the ground. It made us wonder if we should have gotten the longer stakes.
So, there's a definite learning curve. If we'd had to use them on the field, and thruout the night, getting in and out of hammocks, we would have definitely spent a lot of time really securing them, possibly even using large rocks to weigh them further, just for good measure. It'd depend on the soil type.
