    I think lots of folks here do what you're suggesting. I use these anchors to guy out a pair of bidpods. Here's the first post I could find that shows someone doing it on one end of the hammock, but plenty of folks do it on two ends. The cool thing about the stakes I linked to are that I leave them in the yard. The eye folds down so I can mow right over them.
