    Yeah, I think that a fire is the only thing that will stop them.

    It is a great area! Just got a report from Wasatch Will and he said that there has been a problem bear in the area between Granddaddy Lake & Betsy Lake. It has gone as far as slashing people's gear. Be safe in there!

    Yeah, not a big deal for someone who camps in Montana. I'm surprised to hear about bears there. I've never seen one in there and I can't remember seeing any sign either.

    Unfortunately, the trip seems very unlikely. The area is part of the East Fork fire closure. Unlikely that it will be lifted before Oct.

    It's that time of year... I'm having to make some "plan b" routes because there are fires close to where I want to go next.
