    Locking a toggle in a D-ring

I wanted to use a double ended stuff sack for my Winter Dream tarp much like a Black Bishop bag. But the toggles that go through the ridge D-rings pop out when there's no tension on the line, such as when you are setting up or taking it dowm.

I was thinking of sticking the toggle back through the prussik loop, sort of like a larks head. But I'm wondering if there is another approach.

    Any ideas. Thanks

I replaced my toggles with a small #1 S-biner. Carefully I cut through the toggle to remove it with an X-Acto knife.

Shug, has anyone called you a genius recently???

I ordered a few extra continious loops from Opie as well so I could just use two of them. Tie them on with a prussik and attach an s-biner.

Or pick up a couple of plastic clips and attach them to loops using a larks head knot.

I love it when the light bulb or recognition goes on.

    Thanks

You can also larks head the prusik loop to your tarp by creating the prusik around a straw or bic pen. Leave the straw short enough it will pass trough the d ring. Create the prusik on the straw or pen, larks head that to your d ring and then slide the line through the straw or pen and then remove the straw or pen.

Also, if you're going with s biner, just leave the toggle on and clip the loop with the biner. This leaves open both options should you decide at some point you want to use the toggle.
