    Great trip report and pictures
One of my go to favorites and I feel for you on that climb up Old House Gap to Beacon heights in this humidity.

Really fun trip. Saw just a couple people except at the road crossings and falls.

Tanawha was a bear in the rain. All those fun rock climbing adventures became an exercise in how not to fall on my a**.

Another great trip report with awesome pictures. 11 hours of sleep next to a river...that's a good night.
Shame about the rain gear though.

Here’s the video from the trip.

Though the car shuttling may put some folks off it is worth it in my opinion.
Also I mention a “road walk” in the video - the section between Roseboro Rd and Beacon Heights does follow some single lane 4x4 forest service road. I didn’t see a single vehicle on it so it was more like a wide trail.

Thanks for the report Paul. I need to get out and do this section before it gets to cold to cross those streams.

I went northbound from Harper Creek trailhead to the Wilson Creek overlook last Wednesday and Thursday (24 miles) before heading to Linville Gorge for the rest of the weekend. Seems the trails haven't been getting much use as they were well overgrown in some spots. I really did forget how many stream crossings there are on this hike. Tough to beat passing 5 waterfalls, though.
