Comparable UQ to Wooki for the XLC?

I know the Wooki is made for the XLC (which I plan to buy when they go on sale) but do other UQ provide similar comfort? I'm concerned about the bungee system that most UQs use that goes across the hammock being restrictive.

Thanks! I'll mark this day as the day I learned so many new vendors! I am not a gram counter and I always side with a few extra ounces for usability/comfort as most of my backpacking trips are measured in single digit lengths. I still don't know my lay direction (I still flop all over in my bed at home too) so I like the non-asym concept.

    SLD 20* (6oz climashield) non-asym = 27.5 oz, $176.90 incl stuff sac
WB Wooki 20* (850 fill down) asym = ~17 oz, $250 incl stuff sac

SLD seems like a solid entry into figuring out an UQ setup.

I think ya might have the prices flip flopped here. Anyways, I can attest to the versatility of the trail winder UQ. I have an asym 40* and a 20* symmetrical from Jared. Both work great. No fidgeting. I have other UQs that haven’t seen the woods in quite some time. Just doesn’t seem worth the trouble.

If you are looking for lighter weight (going by your intro post) get a partial UQ.

    oops. fixed the prices error.

I'm less about lightest weight and more about simple and multi purpose gear. I still can't quite wrap my brain around the 3/4 concept. I remember when I considered using a 3/4 sleeping pad in my tents and then using my pack as the extra 1/4. Too much hassle.

3/4s cost less and take less room on the pack. Easier to adjust in my opinion.

I concur, with the exception of ease of adjustment on the trailwinders, there is almost no adjustment needed at all. Other than his and hers trailwinders for car camping all my other UQs are 3/4. I enjoy every purchase I've made from SLD

Noob question. What makes a 3/4 easier to adjust, er, not have to adjust?

The 3/4 comes up to your shoulder, so it's easier to reach out and adjust. Typically, tighten/loosen the draft collar, but you can also reach the primary and secondary suspension cords.
