We will be hanging in the Oak Ridge Campground. We generally camp in the sites A25-35 and B19-25. Site reservations are required.

The park is hammock friendly and can accommodate up to four hangers per site. The caveat is just two cars per site. There is overflow parking nearby. The park has a 1.5" strap requirement but double wrapping the tree counts. Trees must be 6" in diameter.
Covid-19 guidelines
We will be encouraging campers to follow to the current guidelines as posted by Virginia. Please observe Social Distancing and respect each others use of masks as they seem fit.
Costs
There is a $10 fee per car.
Each site is $26 per night, all paid on the honor system at the campground. If we group up with around 4 hangers per site, that works out to $6.50 per person a night.
The sites are on a first come / first serve basis. This time of year the park is fairly empty.
There are several hiking trails through the park and other things to do.
Food
We will forgo any official group potluck meals this year. Attendees are welcome to dine together or alone as they feel comfortable.
Other notes
There will not be a raffle this year.
In years past the temps have ranged from the 20s to 50s. One year we were in shorts. Welcome to VA weather.
There’s a heated bathroom building within 50 yards of the campsites with hot showers. And this is a NICE bathhouse. Trust me.
