Having trouble getting comfortable in a Blackbird XLC and a Jarbidge UQ

The UQ never seems to stay under me like it is supposed to. If I fidget at all in the hammock the UQ slides off of me and snaps closed to the side of me, leaving my entire backside uncovered. Suggestions?

I have a jarbridge for my daughter and have had a similar experience with it. I solve it with a hook to join both sides of the shock cord together at each end. UQ hooks would also take care of it, or the triangle thingies from AHE. You could even just tie a loop around the shock cord on either side to connect them above the hammock instead of the extreme ends.

Interesting! I can't quite picture what you are describing when you say a hook to join the shock cord. Do you know if anyone has made a youtube video about it or something? Thanks for your help!

I don't know of any videos off hand though I'm sure I got the idea on the forum at some point around when Paul first came out with the jarbridge. Here's a couple photos of what I was attempting to describe. The white hook is actually a sew on UQ hook, meant to be stitched to the side of the hammock. A mini biner or mitten hook would just as easily do the same job. If it slides back and forth too much I would just tie a bite on one side to keep it in place. It mainly gets used on my daughter's Hennessy Cub and hasn't caused any issues with the net over the last few years.

The WBBB XLC has a ribbon on the right side of the hammock between the shelf and foot box. Match the ribbon up with your quilt, (when it is set right). Sew a piece of ribbon on your quilt at this point. Now you can tie the quilt to the hammock. If the quilt slips a little you only have to adjust it from under your left shoulder.
