    con,

Id suggest that when you form the loops as suggested by Shug, make them slippery half hitches until you find the length you desire. This will make it easier to undo them.

Keep at it. Youll get it. Takes time for most people but it is way worth it.

    Have fun.

I always kept my foot end higher on my WBBB as well but after reading more here, I started making sure that it's at least 14 - 16 inches higher and since then, my sleeping has been much more comfortable. On trick I use which I learned here is to have my foot end closer to the tree which naturally makes it higher.

Note that the WBBB is cut so it has a “foot extension” for the diagonal. I’m guessing that’s why that model has a higher than usual recommended foot end. The usual rise is less than 12 inches. But maybe that much foot end high increase would work for other GE geometries as well?
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I have an Eldorado, and it doesn't have pack hooks like my Dutchware Half Zipped. I use a HG Phoenix, and it tends to come off my outside shoulder in the Eldorado. I picked up some up some half inch grosgrain and pack hooks, but haven't sewn them on yet. My main hammock is the Half Zipped...I use the Eldorado as a loaner. My son borrowed it back in June when we met up in NC and he said he had to pull the Phoenix back on a few times. Basically, the WB hammocks don't have any additional hardware attached, inside or out other than the tie off ribbon (when you roll up the bugnet).

Dutch and HG have them, so if you gotta order something from either add it to your order:

Back From First Time Hammock Trip & Have Questions

I own a WWBB XLC and experienced the same discomfort with pressure against my ankles. If you placed additional material under your feet that would make the condition worse. If you sleep on your back and are experiencing either calf ridge or hyper extension at the ankle try placing a jacket or backpack pillow, (3” to 4” thick) under your thighs just above the knees. It will take the pressure off your legs from the knees to your feet. Hope this helps.

With the WWBB XLC I sleep with my shoulder next to the logo (not my head).
Try sliding yourself along the hammock so you’re head is closer to the end.

That sounds like a good idea. Thanks!
