    Hammock Side Table

Does anyone have any recommendations for a side table while hanging?

The idea of a single pole with a flat platform to hold a beverage or book seems appealing.

Recently saw one with a gimbal below the platform for uneven surfaces that looked like a decent choice.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. The only thing I have been able to find (although it doesn’t set up like you described) is the tree table made by 2QZQ.

I use my 2Q table a lot. I cut a 1/2" slot in the front edge and use a light ti chain to suspend a pot with a bale over whatever stove I'm using. The height of the pot over the stove is easy to adjust by simply slipping a different link of the chain into the slot. The ability to fine-tune the heat makes cooking oatmeal over a jetboil or a 4-Dog BushCooker a snap. At the same time the table surface is available for a bowl, cup, implements, etc. When I got this I thought it would be more than I wanted to carry when backpacking. Now I wouldn't do without it - especially for leave-no-trace in the woods.

A Stansport stool works great for me and I can sit on it when it isn’t a table.

He responded. Said he didn’t have one either because the shipping was high there too.

The shipping was 14EUR from Germany to Slovakia. That is quite a lot.
