    Snugpak Hammock....any experience?

I did a quick search for "snugpak" and couldn't find any info on specifically talking about their hammocks. I got a great sleeping bag from them, thought the quality of stitching on the storage bag (which I've had to redo) makes me hesitate. Their hammocks are made in China, as many low/mid priced ones are, and they have the marketed "tropical" hammock without mosquito netting ~40 bucks and with netting the "jungle" type is ~60 bucks. The video reviews seem to be generally positive and the construction seems adequate.

I'm looking for a subdued OD green type hammock and also considering getting bugnetting. These options seem to fit my needs. But I wonder if it's better to just put that money into a higher priced but higher quality hammock. I've been keeping an eye on Hennessy's stuff. I'd appreciate any information/share any experiences you guys might have! Thanks

    They are all amazing quality.

Skip the mass produced hammocks all around, even Hennessey because it is so much heavier. Support cottage vendors instead!

Chesapeake (here on HF) has a lot of Snugpak accessories (UQ, etc.) but not their hammocks. He reviews the pluses and minuses. Buy a hammock from a cottage vendor: Dutchware, Simply Light Designs, Warbonnet, Dream Hammocks, etc etc......

    Snugpak Hammock....any experience?

I’ve had cheap and I’ve had higher end production and I have boutique/cottage vendor hammocks, and I will say the quality you get from the guys like warbonnet are worth the money. I have 2 warbonnet’s that I have had for close to 10 years. I love them! Still going strong!
