Mooseman, I will find you a pony. When the Festival is held, I can buy you a pony (you'll need a minivan).

One of the park Rangers told me a person transported a pony home in her car ...yes a car.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Sam and Abbey would notice pony but calm down when finding pony does not eat dogs or dog treats. Still if they sniff pony’s rear end—they might get kicked
Gee, that’s a funny smelling dog!
Phantom, Grayson was Sam's 1st hang at 6 or 7 mons old. He saw a horse close up. He did not like it! I'm not talking a pony either.
Are they going to cull the herd this year?

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
I will add a note about the wild ponies.
If you find them on a hike, please do not feed them.
I used to take groups backpacking there years ago and didn't think much about it when someone in my group did so but a couple incidents helped me understand that there is a good reason they ask people to not feed the ponies.
Once a girl ran out of what she was feeding the pony and he followed her nipping on her pack and biting her tail.
Another guy did the same and as the pony was insisting on more, he spun around and kicked the guy on his inside thigh.
They have asked people to not disturb resting foals as well.
I'm thinking they also ask that people not pet them, even if they come up to you.
It's best for everyone if they stay wild.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
