I have a remnant of calendared 1.1 ripstop that would be a great outer layer for a lightweight summer underquilt. Here in Georgia, I won't need a ton of extra warmth, but I would like to have a more than just an UQP alone. I'd thought about using some of my wife's leftover fleece to line the shell. It seems pretty heavy and bulky, but that might just be this particular version of fleece. Maybe I can find a lighter weight fleece.
Can you think of any alternative fabrics to use as the inner layer?
