Backyard excursion

Camping in the backyard tonight. It was a last minute trip decision. We quickly gathered the gear and set out. It was my youngest son and I off on a backyard adventure.

The decent to our camping area wasn't too bad but the assent to get back will be awful.

Once the area was cleared of doggy land mines, setup could begin. The boys tent was easy and soaked up the knowledge.

It took a while to find just the right place to setup the hammock since I've never set it up in this location before.

After which we got a nice fire going.

It might not be the woods but at least we're outside and enjoying the outdoors and making memories.

great weather for it. Best time of the year. Less bugs and not too cold to sleep well.

That’s awesome. My 7-year old has been talking all day today about going camping. We even made some homemade camp shoes as a little MYOG project. He wore them around the house all day. Would have done the same thing if it weren’t for the fact that he is starting school tomorrow. Got to make some time soon though to take him.
