Thanks alt.Thomas....I might spend the night on the Unnamed Peak this weekend. The forecast is for a wild & windy night on Friday but Saturdays weather looks good.

Do you know the climber who fell and got a pregnant foot on that weekend?

I heard someone had fallen & died earlier in the month...no details though.

I was out & about again on the weekend mooching around the ridges & gullies of the Unnamed Peak

Wild, cold, windy night(I'm surprised my tarp is still in one piece, hammock swaying with the wind gusts was soothing though. ) with a heart warming sunrise...& a gorgeous gorge to explore for next time.

A few more pics from last weekend...

    Access. Cheaper than a 4wd...2wheels
    DSCF5729 (Medium).JPG

Savoury Scroggin...dried squid strips, wasabi peas, spicy broad beans, dry roasted edamame & BBQ coated peanuts.
    DSCF5741 (Medium).JPG

    Cicadas casing...
    DSCF5744 (Medium).JPG

Traversing a boulder gulley searching for views.
    DSCF5768 (Medium).JPG

Steepening dropoffs ahead...too steep, poked my head through a natural notch in the rocky ridgeline then backtracked looking for a campsite.
    DSCF5777 (Medium).JPG

Death in the bush... probably a rock wallaby's lower jaw.
    DSCF5782 (Medium).JPG

    Home for the night....
    DSCF5796 (Medium).JPG

    Tucker time...
    DSCF5811 (Medium).JPG
    DSCF5820 (Medium).JPG

During the night, wild winds tried to rip my tarp apart...rocking me gently as every angry gust hit.

Staggering windy walk out the next morning...canopies bending wildly, branches falling all around.

Organ pipes glimpsed while heading out.
    DSCF5828 (Medium).JPG

No tracks, no rock cairns, no ticks, no mozzies, no leeches & no snakes....An enjoyable weekends exploration...
