Looking for Do's and Do Dot's for the CF/dynema tarps.

Saved and finally purchased my HG Cuban Fiber tarp! (used but still good) 12ft camo with doors model, yes I have an 11ft hammock and yes I know I do not need a 12ft but like I said I bought it used for a good price!

I have read the basic care and handling on the different websites but just wondering if anyone has some personal experience and what they think on them in different types of weather scenarios.
My other tarps are silpoly and I do not use tensioners on them but wondering if they should be used with the CF tarp to give it some movement in windy or stormy weather?
Any other ideas that people have used on this tarp and if they worked or not are welcome info!

I don't know if the video will start at the 2:30 minute mark. I trust Jeff Myers and here he talks about the inportance of a continuous ridge line with Dyneema. The tie outs can rip at the stitching if hung tight with a line at each end. I have no experience. Just sharing what I recently heard. Here he has a silpoly but listen what he's saying at the 2:30 minute mark.

I have a CRL, the tarp is attached to it using prusik. That allows for centering the tarp without stressing or pulling it to tight. The CRL is for setup and positioning, it anchored using the tie outs.

What do you mean by "tensioners"? Elastic bungee/shock cord?

If so, No, I don't use them on mine. Been in some fairly stiff breezes quite a few times with no issues.

I do use a CRL with the tarp suspended from it with Prusiks. Easy to center and to get the ridge line tautness just so.

Set up here in a really frisky breeze. No worries!

I don't use shock cord tensioners on my DCF tarp - totally unnecessary. However, Shug does.

I don't treat my DCF tarp any differently from my other tarps.

If I were using silnylon I'd probably use bungee cords because they can stretch significantly but otherwise no.

I get the impression that some people think DCF is super delicate, but I treat mine with reasonable care—same as I do other tarps and gear—and they've held up well.
