Thanks for the great videos. And, considering your 12 hour sleep, I guess we can conclude that is a very comfortable hammock. I am dying to try one, though I do wish it was usable with the pads I have, like my old 25" wide TR Neo Air All Season ( 4.9R value) that I us most often in my Hammock Tent 90. Mainly because I already have it, and it has a lot of insulation for it's weight. Mine is the big rectangular model, and weigh 25 oz. I could get that down closer to 20 oz if I had one of the tapered models, and some with even higher R value. So I wish I could use that with that hammock, but looks like that is a no.

Still, that set up sure does look interesting. And comfy.

It is way better than the ground still! Fun to take something different out there.

How was the Haven for "moving around in"? I'm a restless sleeper, and go from side to back to the other side constantly. It gets tiring when you can't just roll. I do "all right" in a gathered end, but am wondering if the Haven might be even easier?

To go along with the previous question: Is the Haven as easy to get into and out of as a gathered end hammock?

    Pretty easy I would say.

I got a version of the Haven XL I'm taking on the trail this weekend. 6 inches wider and 2 inches longer makes a nice difference.
Possibility of having to go-to-ground so this is the easiest hammock I have for that.
Finding this hammock appeals to me more and more though heavier than my gathered end hammocks. But easy in and out.

chanterelles.jpg note the golden orange color, like the sun on an Autumn leaf, the gills going down onto the stem. there's also a black variety which is also good.

the look-alike is more of a flat cap that cups up, more of a tan color... the gills stop at the stem

also, keep an eye out for giant puff-balls, they're not my favorite tasting mushroom, but sauteed in garlic butter, a 2-3 inch thick slab of mushroom as big as the plate, is quite the sight

found an old shot of a patch of chanterelles, see how the caps aren't really dished in? less like a funnel more like a cone, solid flesh top to bottom IMG_0285.jpg

Thanks for all that. Don't think the one we had was a Chanterelle.
    Good to learn this stuff.
