The river camps are very easy to spot with landing areas, stairs up from the river and carts to haul your gear in. I know from personal experience that the river camps are going to be virtually empty this time of year. So where do we take out at?

When I am traveling with a larger group I try to leave all the equipment at the end edit: i meant the beginning) with some of the people Then only the drivers will need to be shuttled. That doesn’t work if we don’t have riders because I hate to leave stuff at a launch unattended. I can be at the end, Gibson Park at 11:00 am. I think that will give us time to get to camp in the light. I am concerned that the camps will be a little difficult since they are for the hiking trail not the river trail. Let us know if 11:00 am works for you.

The essential part of me can not be discussed here. Ask me in person.
So I need to arrange for the shuttle service to be at Gibson park by no later than 11 on the 27, is that correct?
Yes, Gibson park for the end. 11 am works for me. We will park at Gibson Park and shuttle to Stephen Foster Park for the start. I haven’t heard anyone else chime in for a while so I hope they are on board. In case anyone missed it the following is the schedule I propose.
Launch at Stephen Foster park and make the
1st. (Sunday) Dec 27, Swift creek (4 miles down river) .
2nd. Monday night Dec 28 at Crooked Branch (about 10.5 miles on Monday)
3rd. Tuesday night Dec 29, at Holton Creek. Restrooms and showers available.(about 14 miles on Tuesday)
Take Out: Wednesday morning Dec 30. We can take out at Holton Creek or Gibson Park Ramp nearly 6 miles down river.

No one has chimed in to say they wanted to hike rather than kayak. We could use the Woods Ferry camp if no one is hiking (it is on the opposite side of the river than the hiking trail) but that would mean 9 miles the first day. We can decide on the fly if we want to try that.

Sorry to hear that juanchoman. I am really hoping to have at least 4 boats. Maybe others will chime in when it gets closer. I can bring some boats for a few people if anyone wants to join but doesn’t have a kayak. Just be aware that some days have long miles planned.

I emailed the shuttle service and if we have to cancel he only needs a days notice. I'm really hoping more people jump in also.
